Stuff you can check out to spend your time on...

1. Joost I recommended this on my blog before. It's basically an IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) app that lets you watch tons of stuff online. It's legal, it's free, and it's better in quality than YouTube. [Broadband highly recommended, though.]

2. Adobe Photoshop Exchange beta No, it's not a free version of photoshop. But it's a place to check out "Actions" or plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop. Most of the plug-ins and actions are free. [Photoshop needed]

3. Facebook If you aren't already on this site, it's basically another MySpace / Friendster: A Social Networking Site. But it's fun! That's all you need to know!

4. Fake Steve Jobs' blog Imagine this is what Steve Jobs thinks... [p.s.: for those who don't know, he's the CEO of Apple Inc., the company which sells iPods, Macs, Apple TV, and iPhone. Yes, I'm an apple fanboy, but that's just me.]

5. Last.fm Music discovery app. Download and install the Last.fm app, it'll detect what's playing in your iTunes library, then make recommendations based on what you like and what others who are like you listen to. It sounds complex, but it's cool, trust me.

6. Mocca You heard of Mocca before, I'm sure [unless you have been living without a TV for the past semester, then I pity you.] Oh, WoW fans, if you have $500, here's something under "Miscellaneous". Thought it might be interesting...

What's with Pokémon?

I mean, seriously.

Weren't we done and over with since Primary 2 or Primary 3?

What's the deal?

Why is there a repercussion?

This is wrong!!!

NO!!!

I CAN'T APPROVE!

THIS MUST BE STOPPED!!!

[*HITS MY PILLOW REALLY HARD (to show violent objection)]

Enjoy your weekend!

{P.s.: I liked Squirtle... when I was in P2! Let's move on, people!}

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Squirtle is the sexiest pokemon.

SQUIRTLE IS SEXY! OH SO VERY VERY VERY SEXY.
DON'T YOU PEOPLE THINK SO?
HE'S BLUE!
AND HE HAS A SHELL!
AND HE CAN SHOOT WATER AT YOU!
HOW COOL IS THAT!?

Just a quick question...

What should we do with this blog after 26 October 2007?

Should we abandon the blog, leaving it to die?

Should we move over to a 4sa blog? I was thinking saints4sa08.blogspot.com. We can move the blog over to a new address really easily... if we do so...

Should we just forget the whole idea of a class blog from then thereof?

Should we keep to sass3sa2007blog.blogspot.com until we graduate? [heh. unlikely. I won't allow this.]

What should we do?

Suggestions?

p.s.: im going to 'squat' on the blog url after i finish this post, so that the "jokers" can't get to it.

UPDATE: on 2nd thought, I won't violate the terms of condition of Blogger.I'll do a poll first...

EXAMS ARE OVER!

Class T-shirt Warning

Hi...

Have you guys notice that the some of the prints at
the back of the shirt often gets flaked off when washed..

My advice?

  1. Wash the shirt inverted
  2. Wash with your own sweet hands...
Do these to ensure that your shirt last long...
don't be lazy

Regarding the Chem paper...

Not sure about you guys, but I felt that Isaac Cheong could be right. The question did contain an error...

Section B: the question regarding the yield of the salt NaBr.

It was stated that the concentration of NaOH was o.8mol dm-3...
and the volume of the NaOH was 25.0cm3

Technically, we were supposed to divide 25.0 by 1000 to get the volume in dm3

And if you did that, the final answer you would have gotten may be 689% had you assumed the experimental yield was 14.2g...
Obviously, yields cannot exceed 100%... It's impossible in real life...

But if you used 1.42g, the answer would be much more logical - 68.9%.

I don't know what you think, but I think that question was wrong. Anyone else?

P.s.: I am trying not to reveal too much of that question so the absentees can have a fair test.

Oh yah... bio x-tra class!

Remember!

After Chem exam, Bio students are to proceed to Bio Lab 1 for Bio SPA practice!

Compulsory!

Event: Practice in preparation of Bio SPA
Venue: Bio Lab 1
Time: After Chem Paper

This song really encouraged me during the FYE

Song: Praise You In This Storm
Artist: Casting Crowns

Verse 1:
I was sure by now
God you would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

Pre-Chorus:
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I’m with you”
As You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away

Chorus:
I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will life my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

Verse 2:
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can’t find You?

Bridge:
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

This song touched me...

hope it touches you too.

Ill try to find the song and link it.

For Peace, Encouragement and Strength

A Prayer For Peace

Dear Lord,
You are the peace that guards my heart. In times of stress, You are with me. You told me that You’ll never leave me or forsake me so teach me to trust in You in all that I need to do.
Bless me during this exam period! Thank You, Lord.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 3:16
May the Lord of peace himself always give you his peace no matter what happens. The Lord be with you all.

A Prayer for Encouragement

Dear Lord,
You know exactly what I am going through and how I am feeling. Help me to focus on You and Your love. Take the feelings of discouragement from me, and remind me that in You, I can do ALL things. Bless me during this exam period! Thank You, Lord.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Joshua 1:9
Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

A Prayer for Strength

Dear Lord,
I know that I can count on You when I am weak. Strengthen me when I am tired and it seems too tough to carry on. I ask for Your blessings during this exam period! Thank You, Lord.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Psalm 46:1God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
